Follow the instructions below to quickly set up a Google Analytics account and add me as a user so I can set up the connection to your website.
Create an Account
- If you don’t have an Analytics account, create one. If you do have an Analytics account, sign in. Both options are available at google.com/analytics:
- Click SIGN IN > Analytics.
- If you don’t have an account, click More options > Create account
- Click the Admin button near the bottom lefthand of the reports navigation menu.
- In the Account dropdown menu, if you have never created a Google Analytics account, you’ll just see Create New Account.
- Fill in the information for your new account.
That’s it to create the account. You’ll hit the save button and you’ll receive a code. Now’s the time to add a new user so I can take that code and plug it into your website. You do that by:
How to Add users to Google Analytics
- In the Admin section of your new account you’ll see the ACCOUNT, PROPERTY, or VIEW columns. Under the Account column click User Management.
- Under Add permissions for, enter the email address for the user’s Google Account.
- Select Manage Users, Edit, Collaborate, and Read & Analyze under Permissions.
- Select Notify this user by email to send a notification to each user you’re adding.
- Click Add.
